We call them Plates...

 

I like the Harley Davidson tombstone taillight with built in tag light.

 

Got mine from Lobecks when Barry was still around, not sure if they are in business now.

 

I had some oddball Gremlin license plate lights on my red '33. Worked good to side light the plate in the recess; but they were a sealed light; musta looked at a couple dozen Gremlins in junkyards to find two to use and a few spares.

 

Cut, narrowed, and curved a SoCal unit, and incorporated a light into it, all done by Ron Gagnon, and it looks like it was born that way.

 

I was looking for yours online with a quick search but have not found it yet. What site did you get yours? Thanks.

Those are called a "Popes Nose"

 

Until I saw that photo I didn't know what it fit,I have one like that in a box of parts and didn't have a clue as to what it was from. HRP

 

This 1 is the "Popes Nose" they had a few different shaped tag/stop lights that could be hamb friendly NaCI fan

I really like it but this pic shows how its pretty bright being flush on the tail like this. After this pic I added a pot so I could adjust the brightness down to the same level as the tail lights. The car doesnt have back up lights so I'm thinking of wiring up the backup light switch to the license plate lights byp***ing the Pot.

 

On my 41 olds i have the style that are little led that you use to bolt the plate to the holder got them from speedway very nice and pretty cheap
