Technical tail light socket size

I want to put a tail light socket where the reverse light is on my 54 Chevy sedan, I have the bottom lens changed out for a red lens but now I can't seem to find a socket to fit. here's there kicker, all the websites I go to do not list the size of hole the universal sockets fit in, counter jockeys and online "help" can't find sizes either.
the hole is 1.5" round.
1157 bulb preferred.

 

3/4" for the small ones, 1-1/8" for the big ones, is typical.
