Nope, aint gonna happen! I went out and washed the wagon, sweat the last little bit of moisture out of my soul I could find and I'm done...
We Missed ya Chip, sure hope you are doing ok Buddy. Nick hows the car coming ? Well Guys have a great week, Sure hope 2 C more next week.
I'm slow. Been taking too long getting the A done, so I had to move it out of the way to make room for the Bonneville car. I'll get back on it once we get back from the Salt.
I went by the shop on Saturday to say hi, but didn't see you truck so I kept on going. Well Buddy you have a good time playing in the salt, talk to ya soon.
Yes I hear you Kieth, it was a pretty decent night. I always enjoy the sitting around shooting the Bull, hopefully next weekend I will have the Belvedere but don't know. Anyway everybody have a great and safe week, hope to see more next week.
What's up guys, do any of you guy know anybody parting out from 68 to 69 Chrysler product. My engine swap in the Belvedere has about drove me nuts. But I believe that its almost done, it can be Plymouth or Dodge or Chrysler big block with an automatic. Hope the week is going good.
Well guys not going to make it chasing the elusive kick down lever, but next week 65 Belevedere should be there. hope some people show I like ideas.
Really sad last night. Only 3 people the entire night. Almost not worth the gas to come out if nobody ever shows up!
If it was a group there, some of us in the Prescott area "might" be tempted to come down and see what you got. As it is, for 2 or 3 cars, we can stay up here where it is cooler and be just as happy.
I will be there for sure next week no rain Belvedere, Rain Corvette. Thirt4 we would like to put together a good night, we are looking for groups to help out so let us know if you have any ideas. You guys have a great week.
If everything goes as planned this week, I might have something new to bring down Saturday night too.... As long as it isn't 4.7 million degrees out!
Tri-Powerguy I'm head of the Az Chapter of Inliners International I'll send out an email to everyone and see if we can get some folks there.
300racr that would be real cool. I think if we can get this going again it sure would be fun. Just the ones that have been showing we have had a good time. Seeing some inline racers would be cool real cool, thanks again.
In the spirit of constructive feedback for this thing to grow... I've swung by every other week or so for the past 5-6 months and EVERYBODY is gone by about 8. I like to cruise Central after dinner or even on the way home from Pavillions when all that concrete is finally cooling off down there! It's fun to actually go out and cruise when the nightlife (now that there IS nightlife down there again!) is starting up... My suggestion is to hang a little longer or move the time back a bit, especially during these summer months when it's hot and light out longer and I bet we can get some more people showing up for this thing.
Absolutely agreed! This summer has been killing me gang, and I have been absent from central for about a month, except for coming up in the 8:00 or later time frame. Everybody is always gone.
And BAM there it is. I am always out late like 10:30 and on till at least last call or later. You usaully see the coupe sometimes at G&D as well for liqued break as well.
Right on. I knew I wasn't the only insomniac in this hell-hot town... and while the McDonald's is a good waypoint, I really don't want to buy their 17 billionth burger. Why not mix-in and support some local joints? Personally, I've been floating between drinks at Hula, Windsor or George & Dragon, loop it down Central under the tunnel to about Lincoln/The Duce, then back up 1st-3rd streets, hitting Copper Square/the Roosevelt arts district, see what's good at Jackalope Trading Post and last call at the Bikini Lounge...
I've always proposed MacDonald's as a meeting place, and would love to move this party around. This time of year after spending an entire day out in a hot shop, honestly the last thing I'm going to do is get cleaned up and go right back out into the heat before the sun goes down. Call me a pussy or whatever you wish, but several times in the last few weeks my shop has hit a day time temp of over 120, and it's killing me. There have been several Saturday nights lately where I look up at about 9:00 or so and think, "ya, it's time to head out" but I know there is nobody down there at that point. I know Keith and Bill are also early to work guys, so I don't mean to offend either of you, but if I'm out this time of year, it's dark and cooler.
The siesta is Mexico's greatest contribution to our world... I totally get the early-riser thing. Hell, naps are the only reason I get to see the moon and stars.
Breakfast down there always sounds nice, but at that hour I'm either sleeping off the drink or working on something before it gets too fuggin' hot.
; Absolutely! I usually hit the Pavillions just before sundown and like heading out to Central afterward, arriving usually between 9:00 and 9:30. After doing this for many weeks and finding one or two people, or no one there, I kinda gave up. Mary and I actually were headed there last Saturday just after 8:00 in the Battle Bird. We got to Central and Bethany Home and it looked like it was gonna storm up somethin' fierce, since we were in an open machine, we decided to high tail it for home.
Pretty much my same haunts and route as well. For me I like seeing down town after last call and surrounding area when its empty, some amazing photos ops avaiable with awesome back grounds with no people.
I would stay later if we have some cars coming up, I just started going home because nobody was showing. All good Chip. I just can.t be there till 11:00 except once in a while, 3:00 am comes quick and a 12 hour day to boot. I will be happy to stay later though, lets give it a shot? Lets change the start time to 8:00 and see were we go from there. I appreciate all the ideas and help to get it rolling, I remember not getting there till 11:00 pm and it was packed, Lets all see what we can do, I personally love being up there and talking about cars and cruising so lets cruise also. See you Saturday
