What kind of fuel pump would you guys run on a 6-71 blown 341 hemi? ~5psi

I have no provisions for a mechanical one, so electric would have to be the answer.

Is there a certain GPH to look for?

forget the 6v53, has anybody seen one of these in hi performance use, I haven't. there's got to be a reason, here's my 371 on a 276 cube flatty driven 1 to 1 runs real good but with the junk gas today be careful keep the static compression down 7.5 to one. when a flatty rattles it's bad because of the aluminum head and little mass over the piston.

  5. ...You need a 4-71 OR 6-71 core..NOT a 6V71 or 8V71...inlines engines not v-series..Do your homework and do a Google search...you'll find all the info you need.[/QUOTE]

Is there any reason not to use the V series blowers if you're willing to make/modify your own manifold?

Don't know if anyone has posted this link or not, but it is really informative on setting up a 6-71.

After reading that I started slowly collecting parts. Got a good core 6-71, got some plates, a carb adapter, and now I think I just found an intake. Funny I thought I would never be able to afford a blower, but nickel and dime it for a year or so and you can do it.

Just wanted to post this. I will be producing complete "street built" 6v53 blowers this next month being the first ones out. I will be manufacturing billet and cast bearing plates, turning rotor shafts to accept high speed high performance bearings and manufacturing complete snouts. Along with that, three and four carb Stromberg carb flanges. Mainly my focus is on v8 flatheads only.

The blowers will be available first (blower, bearing plate conversion and snout) then manifolds soon to follow, and pulleys complete. This has been an undertaking, but I feel well worth it. Been building blowers for some years now and have built prototypes of the 6v53 plates that were very successful, and still are. Now its production time!

Costs of COMPLETE kits will be announced soon on my site.

Thanks guys, and check it often.

Duckus you are right on. I don't have 3k or 4k around for a kit but I found a couple hundred and got started.
The only thing I recomend that is not in the 33 article is to hard anodize the inside of the case, rotors and inside of the bearing plates. this helps tighten clearances. Also i would take the case and rotors to a local shop and have them mill the front, back and bottom of the case then clearance the rotors to match. I would also tripple pin the rotors. this is no big deal and just a bit of insurance.
This is the way they did i it way back when so if your looking to be traditional this is how they used to do it.
