It's not rap. Sung to the tune of the Addams Family. Add Ys at the ends if desired.

I've never Tap Talked (Crap talked, yes) but sometimes when I open the HAMB on my phone it asks if I want to open with Tap Talk or Chrome. Maybe that will go away.

It’s now official. The HAMB App has been removed from app stores and we no longer support Tapatalk in any way.

    Good one, @blowby ... LOL.
    Good man, Ryan. Thank you.
Not quite as artistic as blowby's, but I wrote a poem, too.
    Goes like this...
    "Fuck 'em."
    Everybody have a great weekend.

Agreed. And a dark mode and larger view option for those of us who actually loved the app…

  15. @Ryan you are wise beyond your years. You’ve done a great thing, getting this forum back on track and without any problems ( I.e TOS issues, possible data breaches and the like) . Congratulations.

  16. Will this effect all us old farts that haven't progressed past a traditional PC or laptop? HRP

  18. And I love that new format! Whatever the owners of the jockey are using sucks, same thing as mtbr. Worst formats ever. Glad I gave up on them years ago.

Sad to see the app disappear, for those of us on the go this is a must have, in saying that totally understand the decision made to remove support. There is a generational proponent to this though, and i am only making assumptions, that the majority of members using the traditional desk top version are older/retirees and those in the younger, say 55 and under are mobile/app based users.
I do think it is important that a app base version is implemented.

Agreed. Crazy important... But I'm not willing to sacrifice user privacy for it. To be honest, I'd rather close up shop that be apart of all that nonsense...

seems that xenforo would have a m. version of the forum software...but I guess that would take too much work for them, eh?

So just feedback... I understand the privacy issues and respect that you respect us in the process
I used the H.A.M.B. app for primarily posting photos as my camera doubles as a 'smart device'...phone.
Posting photos could happen almost as fast as I could take them plus I didn't have to be setting at my PC to post them
My PC has a very challenged DSL internet connection.
If I access the H.A.M.B. board from the phone and try to upload photos from the phone I get a 'file too big' error message. I have the 'smallest' file size selected on the phone for photos. This is a no go for posting photos....
If I set up the phone to be recognized as an 'external drive' and try to upload from the PC, same thing unless I transfer the file to the PC and resize it and save the resized file again on the PC.
Then I can upload it, but depending on the phase of the moon, tide height, star alignment....and a murid of other factors, it can take up to 5 minutes to upload the photo from the PC...suck deluxe
I'd be fine using the smart device on the regular web site but for now 'it did happen' 'just can't provide photo evidence'
Maybe your ultimate site upgrade will address this in some manner...looking at my phone, it looks like tapatalk made a temp file for a resized photo automatically. I know photos eat up server space and a size restriction matters or the electrical bill becomes one of a bitcoin miner....
I suspect your planned upgrade will address this.... I know, from the Department of Redundancy Department
