They are "matched" insofar the two parts are of the same brand, same manufacturer. This deal here, the bearing cup (race) in the hub and bearing are from two different manufacturers (most likely) I agree the new bearing will work with the bearing cup in the hub, it's just there's an awful lot of cheap shit out there these days I'd want to use known good parts that I installed myself. A neat trick for bearing cup removal, is just lay a bead weld around part of the bearing surface. It will cause it to retract and will fall right out. Drive the new one in with a brass drift or a bearing installer tool. Can hear it change tone when it's fully seated. Easy peasy. Not trying to argue with anybody or anything like that.
