I believe the PM 6 and PM 7 where the gift to Flatheads..They ran great at idle and WOT..Real interest in them now.. Duane.
Accept my small contribution to this amazing thread, There is my French Flathead dressing-up; Tattersfield-Baron 4x2 intake, and Tattersfield 8:1 Heads... Same as on the Belly ! Show yours !
I am doing this set and wonder if anybody has a picture of what he bottom plate looks like. Is it dry or wet? Thanks oj
Here is my contribution to the Tattersfield family. The bottom plate on mine is made to be used with water for heat. It can be done either way. You could get a plate for yours from Langdons and can pipe it for water or exhaust heat. Or if you were really lucky and had the Fenton headers with the stove box already in place, you could just bolt the intake to the exhaust for heat. Dom
Hot Rod mag conducted a intake manifold shootout involving the flathead Ford v8—they used a strong bored, stroked, cammed “mule” motor that almost reached 200 hp with a Navarro 3-2 intake. Among the best performers was a Edelbrock slingshot. Granted this was on a strong engine(results may be different for a stock engine) but there was 18 hp(which is a lot on a Flathead) difference between the slingshot and the tall 2-2 Thickstun with the Thickstun being amongst the POOREST performer.
