Hey, A hammerform ( a form made from plywood or MDF board) would make a good form to build these yourself. @ 1/2'', that's not alot of metal to shape, and you'll be able to produce a part with little effort! Cut two pieces of plywood 3/4''- 1.0'' thick into the shape you want your frenched taillamp to be. Now cut a piece of 19-20gage steel sheet in the shape of your plywood, and add 3/4'' to the size of the steel you've cut out. That's a piece of steel that's 3/4'' larger than the plywood form you've cut out. Clamp the steel sheet between the plywood forms & center it so as to have the 3/4 extra equal all around the form. Now clamp this into a vice or use a large "gee" clamp and clamp it to the bench top. Take a piece of hardwood and a hammer and gently bend the 3/4'' metal down over the form. If you go slow and form the metal you'll produce a part that will rival a die stamped part. Swankey Devils C.C. " It's time for another Tea Party!"
