had any one ever made one of them ? i looked and the plans on-line and it does not look too hard to make one. figuring out the weight and materials looks to be the hardest part of it all. but looks can be decieving.

  2. I've never busted anybody's chops about this before, man, but fill out an intro. Otherwise I get creeped out thinking of what a devildork might do in a tear drop trailer.

This has been covered before. The Popular mechanics plans are the ones I cxan vouch for. After you do a proper intro, use the search for it.

  3. It seems he has intro'd but in the wrong forum (Q&A's)...!

Welcome Sean...! Sounds like you've got your hands full and really should wait in undertaking a trailer build...! [IMG]

I got my plans and patterns from Ebay for $30 and they are complete and comprehensive.

But it looks as if they will be "Shelved" until I finish my roadster...! [IMG]

    Good Luck

  6. A friend of mine built this one. He use some parts from an original 1947 teardrop. The frame, body and doors are all his work. He used the cook stove and reffer from the orginal trailer. [IMG]

  11. I have purchased a few sets of plans for a tear drop trailer. The best set of plans are from a place called Desert Tear Drops. They have the best detail, parts list, suppliers for any hard to find stuff. Plus the also come with a full size template for the side of the trailer.
These are the plans that I will be using when I build mine.

I've got the desert teardrop plans too. They look pretty good. But this project is on the back back back back burner. You should post a build if you do one.

yes me hands a pretty full. but the teardrop is for my brother. and it will get me some more time to play with me welder, and i will use any excuse to play with the welder. and i am hoping that by helping him i can get him to help me. but i will only be agreeing if it would be a quick build. becuase as you have seen already a tad busy.
thank you all for the great info and the great pictures.
