TECH/1947 Dodge/Early Mopar question about steering shafts

Who here knows what years/models share the same steering shaft spline as a '47 Dodge? I ask because I recently picked up a '47 Dodge steering wheel for the '47 Ford. As everyone knows the Ford shafts are keyway. I want to mate two shafts together and need to know what will work so I can start asking around. Thanks!!

 

Lets start with the obvious.
Have you tried it on a late model GM column?

 

Kirk I don't know about steering shafts but 46 Desoto wheels fit my 76 Dodge clip. I have a 76 column if you want to come by and try

Sounds easy enough but I don't own anything GM. I'll take Tiny up on trying it out over at his place though.
