Installed them on the axle, one side has a slight camber, other leans in quite a bit, both kinpin tubes on the axle seem to be welded at the correct angle(1 previous axle was off big time) Just wondering if there is a specific way they mount, by just looking at them, I didnt see any differences... Could I have mounted one upside down?, if there is such a thing... (btw this is a speedway axle/spindles)
Ill try to snag some pics today, you can tell just by looking at it how much camber is on one side Dont have the wheels yet, but the brakes are on it... Im just wondering if there is a wrong way to install these? Only thing it can be is either the axle kingpin tube is welded crooked(AGAIN) or the spindle is upside down(but when I first looked at them before installing, they looked the same either way)
Swap them side for side. If the straight one now looks off it's probably the axle. If the good side now looks off, you may have a bent spindle. You really need an angle finder to check the axle boss.
Yes more than likely it's upside down AND/OR you have 2 of the same side. ARe they stock? or a Dropped one like from FAT MAN? Dylan
They are "modified" spindles from speedway, just so I can run the later style brakes.... Other than that, stock.
Pretty sure the right side spindle is upside down and yes, it makes a big difference which way you put it.
lol, well I understand it now, just didnt see a difference between the two when a buddy put them on, I was welding up the axle/wheel tubs while he put them on, I asked if there was a difference, he shouted "doesnt look like it" Guess Ill flip it tomorrow
Maybe you shouldn't let your buddy redeem his beer tickets till he's about done for the day. I used the same type spindles on my T. There's not a right and left, but there is an up and down. Lynn
