Ok ok, so I missed tech week....nor is this really tech at all, more along the lines of sign building I guess. Anywho, here was the ***ignment: Take a ratty, puke green '59 Anglia and turn it into a sign for an auto electric shop here in town. So, we got a gallon of International Harvester Red and Gloss white from the local Carquest shop across the street for a grand total of about $80 + some fine line tape and some masking tape. And here is the result. My dumb **** didnt take any before pix, but just imagine a puke green dumpy looking Anglia and you'll get the picture of what we started with. My trooper of a girlfriend helped lay out the scallops as well as mask and prep the entire car. She also helped spray the white as well. Pretty cool for our first paint and first scallop job ever. And yes, we did paint the dents and rust on purpose! Part 2 of this will tech post will show how to properly lift a '59 Anglia onto the roof of a building using some bailing twine and a used VCR.
