Does all this new found power mean you're out to whip Artiki next season Clark?

Are mechanicals even comparable to hydraulics in terms of safety and stopping distance anymore?

Yeah I know, but I'm only home 1 - 2 weekends a year and can't stop drivin the thing long enough.....:p Next year:cool:

I'm plannin on keeping the mechanical brakes on this one, and puttin my a set of 39 juicies on the next jigger.

I'm lovin all these banger threads.

    Good going Clark.
100 brake is about what they claim on an overhead conversion isn't it?
Still think you should use all those horses to miff the old VSCC guys.
You going to their test day at Brooklands in Jan?
Out of interest how much dyno time/dosh was those 15 horses?

Do you remember the Hot Rod Drags?

If it makes you feel better knowing you won 4 out the 5 in reaction time only, keep thinking it.
But remember I was running quicker ET's than you at the Nostalgias, I still have the fastest ET, highest terminal speed, I was running nearly a second quicker than you at the Hot Rod Drags and have the FASTEST 4 BANGER trophy to prove it.

Stick that up your Hokey ****!

Set up right mechanicals are equal to hydraulics, but they just need a bit more 'leg'. Pushing all the metal linkages is a bit harder than pushing fluid, but you'll never get a leak that causes brake failure. Henry Ford never trusted hydraulics, it seemed to strange a 'voodoo' for him.

I thought the test day was members only, are you going?

I was on the road for an hour and a bit and it came to about £90.

Who was first to the line, sonny?

No good if you're asleep on the line...

Highest terminal speed? I've got one for 70.54mph...Have you beaten that? Seriously, I can't remember.

    Yeah, well...my dizzy was loose.

Only 'cos I gave it to you. The final was never run....

...and I certainly hope that hasn't come from the same mouth that you use to kiss your Mom! ;)

You want to run that final for the trophy, put your car where your mouth is?

  17. You boys are cracking me up! Handbags at 20 paces...
Only one thing for it Darren - you're gonna have to go to the same rolling road!
Just to bring it slightly back towards the topic, Clark - as HP is calculated, have you a table showing the torque produced through the rev range?

Mind you, don't let me stop you baiting each other [

I am going to try to make it to Brooklands If you turn up in an A I am sure they will let you in.
Doubt if they will let me run the car V8 Gl*** body etc but you might be ok if they don't notice that fuel pump flange.
That 100 horse banger should whip some expensive ****s.
