Here is a litle closer shot of the rear window, taken when I built the tonneau cover. The screws that connect the inner and outer halves of the frame are all on the inside of the car.
Naw, 'tisn't that easy. Its been a long time since I built the top, but I'm pretty sure that one frame has two raised ridges all the way around the side that fits next to the top material, and the other frame has two indentations that are just a tad larger than the raised ridges in the other frame. When the two frames are screwed together, the top material is squeezed between the raised ridges and the indentations all the way around the perimeter of the frame.
Here is a few shots of it outside. I know...kinda big wheel-ed but, my plan is to do it this way first and then get a set of those steelies and stones like the Rolling Bones guy's are rolling on to change it up later. They probably wont work all that well with a Dart headed 377 in front of them anyway....
Nothing says "HotRod like "snows and chains"...! But if you're planning on Drag Racing it... you'd better have "Nailers" (18 lbs. of drywall screws!)!!!! <object width="425" height="344"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/L8izTNTobpY&hl=en&fs=1"></param><param name="allowFullScreen" value="true"></param><param name="allowscriptaccess" value="always"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/L8izTNTobpY&hl=en&fs=1" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true" width="425" height="344"></embed></object>
Firestones Just google Rolling Bones. They build some really *****in cars. Hence-the severe chop on my car (thanks RB guys!)
Nope, pretty sure I did not sleep with either of them. Although I have seen both reactions from Women in the past
Oh fack! Please tell me that is a State Special? Could give a **** about the hot blonde and ****ty beer, a man need priorities!~
What's the deal, were you forcing the kid in the maroon shirt, on your front wheel, to do the beer bong? He looks like he's about to hurl.
No...He made the top, I just caught him screwing around(I think the lifetime channel was on) again....
Great thread.I keep tossing around the idea,to leave the steel roof section off my Chevy, and putting on a convertible top. Thinking Chevrolets "prototype" answer to an A-400 This thread will help if i decide to go for it. Thanks. The only thing missing, that is usually in your threads,is hot young women showing their "***ets". You had me at "******* Tuesday"! LMFAO.
I think everyone that has done or is going to do a top should just keep adding to it. Not like mine is the only way... There has been lots of great advice added along the way. Thanks to everyone who added. I sure do like the wood that's in the factory bows! Hint Hint...
