TECH: Hammer forming making a form and patch panel!

    That worked great!

    Let's say that I don't have the shape dolly that I need in my hammer and dolly set. Using what we just learned about using wood to shape metal, is it possible to make my own wooden dollies to fit the shape I need?

    Yes, you can make dolly-type forms from hardwood in a pinch! Be sure to shape the form so you have end grain, and not cross grain, in the area you'll be doing the most forming/ hammering. Wood will take more compressive forces on the end grain, as opposed to cross grain (think wooden mallet here)
