Got the parts trailer finally done, and this isn't too much of a problem, but I bet someone here knows the quick solution: The electrical load on the trailer's brake/blinker lights causes the pickup's flasher to blick so fast it's almost like a strobe. Not a show stopper, but I'm guessing there are flasher units that are equipped for handling the load of a truck-n-trailer combo. Thought I'd check here first to see if anyone else has been down this road before I start re-inventing the wheel.
ive had the same trouble and your right....you need to get a "heavy duty" flasher and turn signal flasher
PM me. . . i have just what you need if your flasher is the "two" spade style not the "three" spade IE: only two wires into it
Yep, get a HD towing flasher, they also make clear ones with a circuit board inside that are supposed to flash the same with any load. Plan B, convert the trailer to LEDs, they have almost no load. good luck
the "no-load" electronic flashers are that of which i speak. . . i got an extra layin around. . . they operate any number of lights from 1 to 26 standard bulbs, and who knows how many LED's. PS dont buy one of them spendy no-load flashers outta the magazines. get one at a truckstop... $14.99 @ the truckstop VS. $40 or more from the magazine vendors. same flasher, no flashy packaging or magazine ad bills to pay
