Technical Tech help needed- popping air out carb

  2. Out of time or burnt valve usually causes one to shoot fire out of the carb. Well that or loading up (flooding).

    With it having a problem turning over I would suggest that it is out of time. Perhaps it tossed a timing chain or gear. I would check the cam timing. A simple check that I have done a lot is to check the ignition timing then spin it and check again. More often than not of the timing chain/gears is bad the ignition timing will change from one checking to the next.

    The drivers side has #6 the companion cylinder to #1 when it is at TDC exhaust #1 is at TDC compression. The valves moving put is at exhaust.
