Tech....How Lukester and I load a project on a trailer..pics

    Doc...the hood is the cherriest piece on the whole project, except for the frame. And Dan, it is a 4 door with the back cut off to make a 1940's pickup...maybe to beat the high cost of gas for cars during the war...trucks were able to get gas cheaper than cars, so I'm told..The back window section is hacked from the sedan and attached to the shortened roof with bolts and screws. Thank God they didn't have a welder handy! I don't think they ever bothered with making a back panel.....

    I hate to say it but I just saw a pair of straight fenders for that Willys today at Pomona, sure looks like you could use 'em...

    Yeah.... I got screwed on this deal for sure...... Rocky.... I'm glad that we could help you so you didn't have too work SO hard..., we couldn't have done it with out you..... BTW I spent more on gas picking it up, than I did on this POS..... Haystack thinks I got screwed on this one, but I think I can probably make somethin out of it....... LUKESTER

    I'd give you your money back but it was such a small amount I spent it all on gas and Pizza before I got home....and I was only 60 Miles from home!
    I'm sure you'll make a kick-as g***er from it. It's a fargin WILLYS! Chainers will be chasing you down for your autograph. They'll want the thing to star in movies.... I've seen it happen! Prepare yourself for 5, no! 6 figure offers to buy your g***er....

    the main thing I learned is.....i'll never drive through iowa again............... Rocky.... thanks I cant wait to get started on it, ive wanted one of these since I was a little kid, BUT I have to finish my 35' truck first before I can even look at it........LUKESTER

    I can't wait to see that rig done. Hey is that Illinois in the back ground?
