okay, so in reality this is *kinda* off topic, but some sincere thanks to a couple of HAMBers is due and i figured all you tech-week-ers would let a post like this slide. a while ago scarylarry had an auction for the jalopy showdown t-shirt and****orted posters and stuff. i bid, but lost. FeO2, (who happens to have the coolest username on the HAMB) bid, and won. being a deadset champion who was planning on attending the event anyway, he insisted on sending me the loot anyway!! he even paid the shipping to australia!!! honestly guys, i'm gobsmacked. i must say that you can be described in the most reverent way an australian can manage. you are top blokes. fly down here and i'll buy you a beer and lend you a bed. anytime. meanwhile, i'm concocting something cool to send back in thanks. charlie, larry... thanks. col. ______________________ the posters and stickers:
Yeah, a very cool thing. I had the 'bid' at friday night and he crept in at the last minute and got me. Gotta get that computer at home hooked up. Anyway, I bought a buncha the stuff at the event, not only is it cool stuff, but Larry/Kim and friends do good things with the money!!!! Hats off....
