Step 1: First find yourself a crappy old truck cab that is way too rough to fix. In my case I used an early International. Once you remove all of the wood and unessential stuff they are pretty light.

Step 2: Find a suitable location for "Display". I have a crappy old shed with peeling paint so it just adds to the "Patina".

Step 3: Go to your local hardware store and buy 3 boxes of self tapping sheetmetal screws and get busy!

You forgot to add this is also a neat way to store stuff for future projects.

Extra points if you stand in the loader bucket of a tractor to do that.

I would be interested in seeing what they sell there. If that were my store, it would be like a farm and fleet with beer and porn. What more does a fella need??

  9. Plowboy, I got a real problem with your post:

Don't you know that no crappy old truck cab is way too rough to fix? Just look at some ebay auctions; often the descriptions will tell you just how easy it is to fix!

If you wish to list it yourself, try using the following words in the title:

hot rat rod gasser vintage survivor nhra nitro hemi eelco

If all else fails, post a 'sale' ad on OSR

Not sure if it's a chain or not. If I go in there, I'll let them know the boss says to add the above items to their shelves. :D :D

Now it needs a halo made out of those day-glo orange road cones.

  20. you need to add some headlights, really bright ones that come on with a motion detector that is pointed at their driveway or the doors facing it. fuck the neighbors!

Step 4: Paint evil eyes on the sheet metal behind the door windows, and teeth thru the rear window opening.

Aren't your neighbors like a mile away? From that distance it just looks like a cross... totally acceptable and ENCOURAGED here in the heart of the Bible belt. :D Hahaha!

Have you ever heard of Jon Hall (the guy who owns Shadow Rods, maker of that larger sized steel '27 T roadster)?
In his personal hobby shop (90X50) inside his manufacturing plant has a completely disassembled origonal '32 roadster hanging on the wall just like you've pictured. Absolutely nothing wrong with it, just disassembled. He's got a couple extra origional ones so he thought it would make a nice wall hanger.
Jon has worked hard for his money, has LOTS of toys, so what he does with them is his business. He already has a couple of kids so he's not interested in adopting any, I already asked.;) :D

Looks like a "himjively" fold-up art work from the Art Show!
