   And the original poster hasn't been around since 2016.
   
   That said, I've got a cheapy version of this style of planishing hsmmer I picked up from Garbage Freight (about $200 when I bought it)...yes it has a foot pedal air control that can be somewhat throttled. It's surprising how well it works.
