Tech Q. Headers for a 58 Fairlane 390

Discussion in 'Traditional Hot Rods' started by Blake Oberhansley, May 23, 2014.

  1. I did some searching and didn't come out with much, so I decided to inquire. What headers will fit my 1958 ford Fairlane 500? It has the 390. (FE possibly?) and I wanted to find out what will work without figment issues, and if so what's the best route, thanks for listening

Better off in my opinion to get some fabricated by your exhaust shop. I got hooker headers for my 64 Galaxie 390FE and didn't fit them because I would have to cut my inner guards to take the two pipes that went on the outside of the chassis. I ended up getting a nice compact set made.

  6. In 1958 ford came stock with a 332 which is an FE the same size as a 352, 390, 410, 427 or 428.
