but i cant post in the tech thread for some reason.

how does the shifter come out of the column on a chevy 3 on the tree? i want to extend it a bit and put a set of knuckles on the end..but i cant for the life of me find how it comes off..

    also..
i want to lower my *** end a bit, 49 chevy styleline. Any suggestions?

  2. don't know about the column, but blocks work great for lowering the rear, remove a leaf or 2 to lower it more

the lever is held in by a roll pin I think. Just drive it out.

If its a 49 theirs no roll pin. Just a spring with two pads top and bottom. Depress the m both and the shifter comes right off. Two screws on the column and a link under the hood. 49-54 and pickups to 59.

Yep don't extend it... it'll be too much weight on the end of it and it'll pop outta second like yorgatron said!
