Tech Request - 1/4 Elliptic Springs

    I'll dig around for some Bugatti rear photos they should help with some ideas on a proven setup.

    I just put the right size bolts in and jumped up and down to make the suspension move...less than 1 degree of change at the rear pinion....not sure about the front ,seems it might change slightly too(just moving the rear suspension anyway)

    I`ve been daydreaming about a 2 piece front axle with 1/4 ellipticals paralell to the axle. I will build it only to prove to myself whether or not it will work,just remember how many mistakes Edison made before success. I don`t listen when people say it can`t be done,I`ll bust my butt to prove them wrong . Go for it. Jerry :D

    Jerry, Allard did that in in England in the late 1940's. It was also common on the local stock cars when they were still running 33-40 Ford coupes. :) Lotus 7's & 11's also used the same setup with English Ford front axles.
