The rockers on my plymouth are shot, and since I'm doing the chassis swap I figured I'd redo them a little smaller (higher?) so the rockers and bumpers are more in line with each other. Since this beast is gonna lay rocker when it's aired out, I wanted to go heavier on the metal used. Would this add any undo stress to the body? I'm thinking 1/8" wall. Just wanting to see others first. I think Doc chop did some to his ford? Fonze to his merc? What about lullu to his ride?

If you have a slight flare to your wheel opening, you can flare your new rocker panel a little to match. This one had a regular rocker panel, but with a piece of conduit welded on the bottom edge for strength and to flare it out some.

BTW, sometimes people lower their bumpers to line up with their rockers. It's just a matter of "z"ing your bumper brackets.
