Today I needed to roll a top insert for a coupe, since I don't have all those fancy tools you fellas have, I broke out my American wheel and went to town. First get you some hair salon fatigue mats, I doubled it, this allows the metal to stretch while giving support, next lay your 20 gauge sheet steel on it. Then break out your 1940 Harley WLA motorcycle that you've had since a kid, straddle your American wheel and roll the front wheel over the steel in a slow methodical back and forth motion, first one way, then the other, after a couple passes you'll see that you have a compound curve, adjust to suit your needs, it's raining in my big shop or I'd show you final results of a half hour
Can't ride your English wheel. And If the Harley is a compound curve generating machine, it now a tax deduction for your business just like the English wheel and bricks in a wheel barrow. Speedbarrons, fantastic execution of KISS. I love it!
I would think that the weight of the bike plus the two hundred pounds of chiseled steel (me)... I would guess since your only using the front third of an American wheel*tm. I think 153.23 pounds in your wheelbarrow....... or perhaps find one of those old timey lawn mower wheels with a bar thru it that they tried to pass off as exercise equipment, and just roll away the extra pounds while you make real live hotrod compound curves
48 pans only work with the wishbone frame, also if your wheel is a skinny 21, your steel will curl like a pringle, also make sure "eye of the tiger" is playin on the HiFi, somehow everything will just fall into place
