After removing my door handles, I wanted a simple way to open the doors. I used "bear claw" latches and UNKL AL'S solinoid kit. Needed a place to put the switch. I added a fuel neck and cap to the driver side and put the switch inside. Can use a locking cap if needed. Never has anyone questioned the gas cap on the "wrong" side.......OLDBEET
That's kind of a neat, well executed idea. However, adding a bulbus decoy filler pipe to the side of the truck seems to contradict the idea of smoothing the truck with shaved door handles.

The only people that really get confussed are the guys in Oregon (were they fill your tank)...."Sir would you like both tanks filled" Old Beet replys "No I should be fine with one tank, Thanks" haha
I live in one of the last two states with full service gas stations--I shudder to think of the disasters those bozos could create with this setup if left unwatched for two seconds!
Yup, kid gassing truck is watching a 16 year old blond go by as he sticks the nozzle in that cap and squeezes the trigger. Gas shorts out the door switch causing it to open, smacking the kid in the balls while sparks from the short cause a fireball that curls the kids hair as it blows him over and melts your truck into the pavement. Kid sues you and contacts the Ultimate Garage guy to build him a home for his new C6 Vette you bought him. And that 16 year old blonde STILL won't go out with him because of his curly hair!
that is funny as hell yet so to true. any car i set up with shaved handles with or without a remote control i will run a choke cable into the fender well or rocker as a little insurance
I've got a choke cable and a locking cap. Been 28 years that way, I spoze sumptins bound to happin!!!.....OLDBEET
