I'd vote for a single week event with no other new threads, either 2 or 4 times year. Even with the dedicated index thread I think the tech threads are likely to get overlooked by quite a few people.
Winter time in the East is Nov.-may. Which is when I spend the most time here.. An spending a couple years in az. There summer is about the opposite month's.. Couple time's a year would probably be Mint..
Although I probably will never use it - that glass cutting is one tough thing to do ! Congrats to all and thanks for your in puts to help the hobby along !
You don't know what you are missing. You're not alone, I'm sure there are a lot of, if not most people go straight to threads they are following and not take the time to look around. I think two or three times a year for one week at a time with restricted general conversation during that week would be good. I'm sure some of us would prefer all tech all the time but, not sure some can go much more than that.
