Hello and help! Suggestions for a fix to all this is welcome! I was running a Weber 32 on my '30 Model A (with a 32 B Motor, Red's Headers, FSI, 12v), and I was having some issues with the carb, so I got my hands on a tested Stromburg 97 with a Zepher manifold. I'm doing my best to get it all working (fuel is getting to the carb), and here are my issues I need guidance within: 1) The accelerator rod I had to bend a little to get around the headers. This is causing a binding and spongy none responsive pedal. Is there a cable or suggestion to get a proper gas pedal motion for this? 2) The choke cable, I used the one that came with the Weber settup, and it is binding too. Is there a cable or suggestion to get a proper choke cable motion for this? Thanks!
I think you need to shorten up your throttle linkage between the firewall and bell crank...so it is a straight pull...I'm surprised if you WOT with the bent linkage.. I always lube the choke cable... Pull the inside out and spray with dry graphite lube....goes on wet and drys Run it in and back out and spray again....you might have to straighten everything out to achieve this and then final routing
get you some throttle linkage ends and hardware...you can cut one end of your stock linkage , thread it and then install the heinemann.... speedway sells them
