I was recently given a box of old carburtors and found one of the carburetors had cast in one side of the carburetor body had the words Zenith and above that Bendix also cast in it. I saw a note in the Zenith webpage that it became Fuel Device Division of Bendix Corp. Anybody know when this happened or when it happened? I know they both made the same carburetors, But why did both trade names get cast in the same carburetors,. And why? DZiegler.
