Do you like workin' on your own stuff or other people's projects more. I prefer other people's stuff, I don't know why.
I had rather work on my own, no one to please but me. But then I can sometimes be my own worst customer.
Other peoples stuff pays the bills, you know the morgage and such. I build hot rods full time, after a day of building customers cars I don't have the energy to work on mine. I think it must be an age thing, it was easier 30 years ago. Ask me again in 6 months, retiring June 1st, after that the only cars in my shop will be mine!
First choice,my own stuff. That way, I don't have to listen to anyone's stupid ideas, try to do it the way they want even when it's wrong, then get to hear about it when it doesn't work 100% the first time. And I absolutely HATE fixing other peoples screw ups.
I prefere to work on my own.....but that will never happen...always seem to work on everyone elses.......
I like to work on mine but really wouldn't mind working on someone elses if anyone I know were in to this lifestyle....all of my friends are ****ing lame!!!! Need to hang out w/ more likeminded people but just don't seem to meet many around here......
I prefer to work on my own stuff because it gives me complete freedom to do things however I want and that counts for a lot. But I do like the chalenge of creating things that are someones else's vision and it also pays the bills. So I like both but for different reasons.
if I can figure out a way to make money by working on my own cars I'll be happier than a ****-eating dog.
I'm excited to get things done on mine, but there's no stress when doingg someone elses and, what the heck, it's a good deed too.
do you mean helpin a friend out with some mods or someone paying you for your skills?...i like it all...as long as its old and cars im with it...but it always seams if you work something out with some buddies about working togther on your cars..help me with this and i will help you kinda thing..my car never seams to get the turn it was promosed...
Call me crazy but I like to work on others cars. I get a satisfaction I just don't get out of working on my own stuff. I love it when someone says 'Wow, that is awesome' about my old cars. But I just get a kick out of helping others. Guess thats why I was a medic in the Army. As I see it, helping others is what makes the world go round. (Yeah its touchy feely sensitive **** but live with it)
I build for a living but don't find it hard to do my own after a hard day, I guess you just need to stay focused, Been building for 38 years now and i still get that brilliant buzz when i finish one of my own or for a customer, Guess it runs in my veins Steve.
