    Interesting.
Had you explored the possibility of simply adding some curvature into the trailing edge of the fin, Ala the McNulty/Moreira Vette?

I like it. You're right- the fins were the only sharp thing on the car and it does look much better now. Glad you thought of it!

Looks much better, though it looked good before. The new shape just works.

You are right, that helped a lot. not that I thought there was anything wrong before, It just looks better and has flow and continuity now. Have you ever calculated how many linear miles of weld are on this car?

i'm not sure i even want to know, , :D

  11. Just as I was about to set myself up with a gl*** of scotch, immediate resolution...I really think that's a drastic improvement. Probably a need that couldn't be represented in photos...

While I can't accept that you're done until it's shiny paint, this change is brilliant, and I hope it sticks...

i feel like its one of the biggest improvements i've made to the car,,,it STAYS! :):D

  13. I like the change, it 'looks right'. So tell us all what its like to work on a car 24 hours a day, every day? Seems like you do with all the work in a short period of time but dont worry I'm just jealous!

i actually own an auto detailing business, and really just work on the car in my spare time,,most of my days are spent detailing cars,,,once in a while i do get a full day in on the car,,but it's pretty rare..

  15. Okay, I see where you're going with it. Could not tell from the first pics that you already had a nice curve in there. Great work, carry on.

'Mo,,,i did consider something similar, but thought it would take it too far away from the "concept car" look,,,

  20. The original design had me thinking 57 Tbird (not a bad thing IMO!). Does it seem like they fade away a bit TOO much now?

I dunno...this thing's awesome and you obviously have a WAYYY better eye for lines than a lot of us! Go with yer gut!

    Hey Jim,

" True works of art are never finished, only abandon by the artist"

And to all who are so hung up on how many feet of wire it'll take to stich her together..............did anyone ask how many brush strokes Monet used doin' his "Waterlilies"? It took what it took!

Building a '' true kustom '' ain't about finishing 'sept maybe for the attention *****s, it's about ''high art'' & process!

The two things I love about these updates are Jim's unwillingness to say "good enough" and James D's willingness to take the time to photoshop for the rest of us blind souls.

Keep up the good work, BOTH of you. Your vision may actually kick start my *** to do something with my spare truck cab!

    Hey Jim,

If someone ain't using an artistic approach to building a kustom, they're just parroting cliches! The shows and magazines of the world have been filled with "those" builds for years!
