Looked at this site from time to time thought I'd jump in. Alot of good stuff on here. Hope you guys don't mind if I throw my two cents in now and then. I'm working on a 53 Chevy pickup 5 window I've had since 1992 after I sold my 1969 Camaro back in 1985 for a whole 4800 bucks to help buy property for my house. Back then that's all I could get. Would have been worth about 48,000 today! After I built the house I promised myself I'd buy something. So I drug this truck out of a field. And like everyone else life, kids, job all comes first and my truck comes last. Did alot of airbrush painting to buy alot of parts, sold some guns my father in-law left me. And sorry to say some other money from family members that have passed to work on my project. I tell people my truck is my tattoos. Retired from ups after 30 years and now working at Napa for the past 6 years. Work on my truck when I can. I'll get it done someday. Learned alot the hard way so would be glad to help anyone if I can. And of course I will need help as well. Hope I'm welcome been through my project is a 53 pickup. thanks!

Welcome from the Pacific Northwest; great intro.!
Life does get in the way sometimes, but all we can do is punt with it.
Be sure to check out the various sub-forums, especially the Advanced Design pickups, for lots of info.
    on the 47-54 models.
