So a couple of days ago, a pal of mine hooked me up with a super nifty and tiny HD camera. And of course, the Jalopy Journal Motion Picture player is completely HD ready... I figured a test was in order and couldn't find a better way to test it unde...

To read the rest of this blog entry from The Jalopy Journal, click here.
Yipes! Nice footage Boss, but looks like you almost had an HD encounter of the pickup kind. Highway 71?
Working good on my end! Ever hear the song Texas 71 by Magnolia Electric Co.? That footage is way too shaky for that song....hahaha!!!! Cool.
Yeah, the footage is terrible... But it's been viewed 397 times in 10 minutes and the server is still running. I think this might work! Once I get a mount done and perfect a steady cam, the footage should be gorgeous...
My wife has been itching for a HD camera but I am still trying to get mediocre at taking stills so I told her to wait on it a bit. What kind of camera is it?
The difference in image resolution is amazing! Although on my creaky old computer here at work it took forever to load. Looks good though, even through all the shaking! Now put the camera down and drive!
Even with all the firewalls here at work I could watch it ! Great footage just need to the steady arm a little. 60'
That red Ford truck was awesome! I love it! You need a "chase" vehicle boss. I wanna see it going down the road. JH
Bitchin'! I know what you mean about hard to hold the camera and drive. I thought I was getting some footage of being stupid, but all I got was mediocre driving. I have scavanged the suction device from my****** pump and some all-thread and fashioned myself a suction mount for when I take my next drive in the Punk. I can't wait to see how well it works....I must*********** a lot more than you because I think my hand was much more steady in my video. ha ha ha Youtube rulz.
We can't see YouTube here at work, so it*****s when those videos are posted and I have to wait 'til I get home to see them. Videos hosted on the TJJ server are viewable, so that's great! What's the next 'Motion Picture'? Burnouts in the '38? I hope so Malcolm
I got a choppy slide show-type view, but the crispness of the video is great. My computer must need more horsepower.
I can't believe how clear that is. Looks great and dangerous. Screw texting and driving that was sooo....2008, fliming and driving is where it is at. Can't wait to see more.
Now that sounds like a plan! I too got the "choppy" version today and get nothing at all most times a video is order of the day for TJJ. (IE. Indy news-reel yesterday.)
I love my Flip camera. Damn near all the car based video I've put together over the past year has been with it. I have a small tab on my dash that I mount the camera on. It looks out directly over the engine and can see quite a bit. Next cam will be the new Kodak HD ZX1. Supposed to be teh new hotness in flash based cameras. We'll see. Good video from whatever you used.
Iphone not having it.... first 17inch powerbook not diggin it either. I get scratchy sound and a still pic... weird....all video works.
Thanks, now I gotta go out and drive my Ford again... maybe I'll bring my little POS camera with me...
