testing amp and oil gauge

    i have a old eelco amp gauge that i need to test, does anyone know how to test a gauge without a car. I also have a oil pressure that i need to test. any help would be appreciated.

    Wire from battery to one post of amp meter, wire from other post to something like a headlight, wire from that device's ground back to battery. Meter should go, plus or minus depending on polarity of your hookup. On a headlight hook in both high and low beams to get more amps.
    If oil gauge is mechanical, just get a cheap installation kit and hook it into any running engine you own that has an accessible plug or sender in the oils system.
