I joined a while back. My participation is pretty infrequent & I mostly lurk. My Dad has the real hot rod chops. I pick up what falls off of him. He's been putting in some miles on his custom & has popped in on a couple of hot rod shops near his home in Pittsburg, Tx. He's been impressed with what he sees. I've been on him for years to play hot rod for a living. Like many guys I have always dreamed of a Father & son buisness doing what we both love. The compition in this market must be pretty strong but It seems pretty friendly. Niether of us would be in it for the money but we have to eat & success is often measured by profit. I'm thinking of spending some time roaming around with him checking out some stuff. Anybody up for a visit? Cools cars, craftsmanship, & innovation would certainly be a big draw for us. I'll probably also pick you brain for advice on how you serve your customers & your general buisness model. Just getting to know other hot rodders will be the best thing to come out of this.
