Event Coverage Texas Drag Racing Geezer's Reunion

On Saturday, Dec. 10th., the annual get together of Texas drag racers from the 60's and 70's
happened at The Horny Toad Bar & Grill in Denton, Texas. It was "cold as a witch's tit !"
I will post a few pictures I took. The principle organizer is Don Ross(in red cap). Don is a well
known chassis fabricator in North Texas(and a "Hamber"). One of our Texas legends,Wayne Calvert,
appears in one pic(in black Left to right-Tom Loving(C/G 60's), Jesse Measles(B/G Anglia 60's),Mickey Davison(BGX/D 60's) Left to Right- 1st guy I don't know, 2nd -Wayne Calvert (Calvert Precision Engines), & Jack Phillips Don Ross (red cap) Don Ross Fabricating(AA/FD "U.S. Kids" 60's) with (?) on the right Ready for a "cold cackle". More old racers, This pretty young lass stripped down to her T-Shirt. It was "nippley" out there on Saturday! w/black ball cap) in the middle of a 3 guy pic. I will try to label pic's
but may not be successful.

 

I don't know any of these guys but I enjoyed it. The little lady looks like the toughest one of the bunch.

This is the first one I have missed since the beginning...Its hell to get so damn old and live 200 miles away...

 

I couldn't make it either...700 mi. for me now. Hope everyone had a good time.

I looked for you Bobby. I saw one guy that I thought was you but it turned out to be Santa Claus ;>)
I posted more pic's on the facebook page "Green Valley Raceway Drag Strip" with an invitation for
anyone to add names of people there that they recognize. One guy blew his engine doing a "cackle".
