Texas HAMBster Alert

Now that everyone is coming down off the high of Live Fast it's time to turn it back around and check out the first annual Texas Rock & Rod event at the Houston Continental Club on Sunday June 27th. Rods, BBQ, hot rod art, and bands. Check out the web addy:

This is a half day event, possibly expanding next year, so it'll only be a day trip for most in the central and east Texas areas so no lodging expenses need to be figured in to the decision. Locals got no excuse a'tall. So come on down, up, & over and hang at the CC from noon to 6 on June 27. See 'ya there.

 

I'm there. And as usual, since I live so close to the Continental, any HAMBer in a bind or havin' car trouble is welcome to use the tools and driveway.

The event is a benefit for the Art Directors Club of Houston so the ten spot goes toward that but as the info states if you bring a car admission to the CC is free.

Hopefully one will be the famous reprobate Johnny Ace and the lovely lady that is kind enough to hang out with him. I'll buy y'all some beers and bbq since we didn't get to hang out much last time.

 

We know nothing about this show's roster, nor been asked to participate, but we will fully support the chance to eat Mr. Fisher's Bad-*** Soul-Style BBQ, chase it with COLD beer, and visit...

 

I thought Steve banned you from the CC after you backed out at the last minute on the TRFP, and left Steve hangin with all the bands booked plus all the other hard work he put into that.

 

Why bring up old ****?
That's between Steve and us, and we not only enjoyed seeing him at LiveFast, but he invited us to show up later that night at his club ,which we did....
Steve didn't ban anybody...what's your purpose for bringing this up, and why didn't you mention it at the show?

Kali here... There never was a problem... Despite any ****ed up rumors, we have a lot of respect for Steve's efforts and what he has accomplished in the areas of live music and the hot rod/kustom community. Any little beefs were ironed out ****in' pronto.
As far as this show, we just got an invite to come hang out and we hope to contribute to the silent auction as well... and that should nip this ****ed *** ******** in the bud
