I am new here. This is my 12 year old son next to our "new" 1947 Ford COE we bought October 12th 2009
Welcome from Denton. What part of the state are you in? That background looks a lot like CTC Auto Ranch in Denton......
Yes it is the CTC Autoranch in Denton TX I am in Decatur TX. We first "found" the COE there June 2008 and bought it Oct 2009. Now I am having difficulty making up my minde, should I keep the orginal frame (it in excelent shape) and make this into restored somewhat orginal looking truck or put it on another frame and make it into something else.
I have decided to keep the truck "all" or as much as makes sense - ORIGINAL - It has the - original flathead V8 - original transmission and - two speed rear end Got two "original" wheels yesterday... I believe them to be one piece design, in usable condition I need to inspect the wheels further after I remove the junk rubber Any recommendation for tires... I got price a quote for 750-20 10 Ply $ 243.00 each and $ 25.00 Inner Tube each ? plus $ 165. freight at http://www.universaltire.com (Tires made in USA) I have not checked local tire shops, yet.
Hi, nice truck, glad to have u aboard, to start a thread you need to go to the general discussion board read a few other people's threads get a feel for it then start a thread there. Or just ask questions there, good luck Andy
