Hi, my name is Bill, I'm from Mesquite, TX by the way of Ardmore, OK which is where I got may start in drag racing in the early 60's. I raced a small injected gas dragster and hoped someday to move up to AA/FD just like my hero Bobby Langley and have a car like the fabulous Scorpion V my favorite of all time. They say even a blind hog can find an acorn and I guess they can if they are lucky ....so call me Porky...in 2005 I bought the remains of Bobby Langley's, Scorpion V and started the restoration..well Don Ross started the restoration and in 2007 it was debuted at the National Hot Rod Reunion in Columbus, OH. I have been attending cacklefest and shows with the car since and have gotten to know a lot of you HAMBers. It is a real honor to be a member to such a great group.
If your looking for a cackle car, for a special event this is the man to call. Not only was bobby my hero growing up as a kid,Bill was also. I am lucky enough I got to see both race thier dragster's, and get thier start into drag racing. It is a dream come true as a young kid to grow up and help out on Scorpion V and 1. Thanks guys!
