A few years back I read in a magazine cl***ified that an Old Texas Salvage Yard had changed hands and there was a load of old Hemi's. Has anyone ever heard of such a place?
There were many salvage and oil field equipemnt yards with hemis in them. Hemis were used as irrigation and well water pump motors in pumphouses and up on top of 20-30ft. poles throughout the Texas oil country and west Texas. I drove through Giddings years ago and an old service station had a couple dozen of them standing on their tails along the fence.
