We had a great drag race this past weekend at the Texas State Championships. Lots of good racers. Many friends from the Outlaw Fuel Altered ***'n, the Southwest Junior Fuel ***'n, the Texas Blown Fuel Circuit, Southwest Superchargers, Texas Outsiders, G***ers, Super Stocks, and more. If you missed it, well, there's always next year.

Big thanks to the legendary Bobby Langley and his Scorpion 5 dragster, the great Floyd Head and his perfect 1969 Top Fuel FED, Buddy Anderson and his 6-time national champion (1956-1961) B/A Widdle White Wabbit, Brian Perrenot and his hyper-authentic Gizzlehopper AA/ Fuel Compe***ion Coupe, and Bob Hale and the Mike Burkhart Fuel Funny Car.

There were lots of racing teams and car clubs, including the Maniac Racing Team of Austin, the Slow Pokes from Ardmore, OK, the Torques of Dallas, the Rebels from San Antonio, and many more. It was truly a big turnout, and sets the stage for an even larger event next year.

But the biggest thanks from the Texas Timing ***ociation goes to all our friends on the HAMB who helped get the word out, and who hipped us on how to work more effectively with this incredible means of m*** communication. A huge tip of the TTA hat first to Ryan, then to Wesley, Texas ********, Beep, Senior Fried, Big Ken, Buzzard, and Chevy Rat. You guys helped a lot, and made it possible for an FNG to function effectively on HAMB. Many, many thanks.

  2. Thanks to you Ed for putting this all together. Too many cool cars and people to count. Can't wait for the next TTA event. My sunburn is just starting to heal, but my nitro addiction is full bore!
