    Hey guys, we gonna be able to hornswaglle any of you HA/GR guys into coming down to Denton next month, and show some of these boys how it's REALLY done, 'Old-School'? I sure hope so. I know there are a ton of folks, that really love this cl***.
    So, speak up now, or forever hold your pistons................here's some more information:

    The 2008 Texas Thaw Vintage Drags & Car Show

    Friday February 22, 2008

    For those coming in Friday night, we have camping available at the track. No power or water, so self-contained will be the ticket. Restrooms will be available.​

    Gates will open @ 7p.m. for the Pre-race party. BYOB, but NO BOTTLES ALLOWED. We are working on whippin' up some good-ole Texas style Chili and Fajitas for those that are willing. I've been known to hurt folks with some of my Chili.

    For those not staying at the track, the party needs to wrap up by 11p.m., gates close at midnight.​

    Saturday February 23, 2008

    Gates/On-Site Registration will open at 9a.m., racers go straight to Tech., Car Show folks will be directed to that area.

    Time Trials (Street & Fuel cars) - 9:30-12 noon.

    Break/Lunch/Band - Noon-1p.m.

    Fuel Car Cacklefest - 1p.m.-1:15​

    1st Round Street/Comp. Cl*** Racing - 1:15-4p.m.​

    1st Round Fuel Car Racing - 4p.m.-4:30p.m.

    Final Round Street/Comp. Cl*** Racing - 4:30-5p.m.​

    Final Round Fuel Car Racing - 5p.m.-5:30p.m.​

    Race and Car Show Awards - 5:30p.m.

    Street Car Grudge Racing time, let the smack-talk hit the track - until 6:30p.m.​

    Gates Close at 7p.m......​

    Schedule Subject to change - of course.

    News/Notes:

    There is the Decatur Swap Meet going on that weekend.​

    Sorry bigken the RamRods car is still all apart and we wont be able to make it. Sounds like we are going to miss all the fun.

    I stopped in last night for a few Hours. It was looking like it was going to be a good turn out. There was great fixing (fajita and Chilly) Man that chilly was HOT(that dam Ken) hell there were guys breaking **** on there cars last night:eek:. I am packing up lunch and go back today.
    Look for me I will be the one in the stands with a lunch box and a camara

    There is time to go and check it out:D

    Well men, by now you've seen the posts on the inagural Texas Thaw. I know it was short notice, and a 'pre-season' event. BUT - PLEASE add it to your next years schedule. It will most likely be held in February, and most likely NOT the weekend of the Decatur Swap Meet.
    Appreciate y'all thinking of us, we had a fantastic time, and sincerely hope the HA/GR guys can be part of it, next season.

    I had some chili once that was so hot you had to s*** in the creek to keep from setting the woods on fire.
