If we can get it finished, we will have a surprise for the Texas Thaw. How many have ever seen a fuel dragster with 671 Blown Edsel in it?
Serious as a heart attack. Still got some parts to make and some work to do on it, but she is coming along nicley. One each E-475 blown fuel burning Edsel engine. And, it will have one wild set of "old time" 50 inch long zommie headers from the 50's. The Edsel only used this MEL style engine for one year,,1958. The Edsel engines were not advertised by horsepower ratings, they advertised with torque ratings instead. The E-475 on the valve covers meant 475 lbs of torque. The engine had 410 CI's. Hope to see you there with it. If not, the GizzleHopper will be there for sure.
OH My My, Another great reason why there should be the biggest crowd of all at the THAW, I cant wait it is gonna be the biggest and best yet, Great news Brian Rusty
Exactly what it is (new car, old car, new engine, old engine, new parts, old parts, some new, some old, new paint, old paint) is all Tippy Top Secret at the moment. One hint and one only, it is not a Comp Coupe.........but it is an E-475 Edsel through and through. Sure hope we can get her finished. I'll keep you posted,,,but ni pics,,,LOL
LOL,,,, got the headers almost re-done (hated the first try), now to get them VHt'd got the valvecovers & injector scoop done and at the coaters working on the body panels working on the fuel tank still need a part or two likelyhood of having her done in time has gone up some, maybe 65% for sure now
More tease for ya............. Got the last part done. Headers are on and looking OK now Body panels almost done still need to do the fuel tank Likelyhood of getting her done in time is now 85% leaving in the morning for Japan, then Australia on business. will be back at end of month and will finish her up then
