Troy ,Troy, its not my fault sbc's are so lame . Everyone has to learn that Windsor motors are where its at and the Chevy's are a bunch of hype ,like i did .As for my speed shifting .I may not be the only one that can do it .I am just the only one who trusts their motor enough to stay together to do it.If i had a Chevy like everyone else i proly would be afraid to powershift to.Thats why i bought a Ford this time .cuz i wanted something i could powershift all day ,that wouldnt fly apart . Ha ,ha ,ha ...

Daniel, take it easy on that thing for a week, or two, would ya? Hey, had a thought. Let's strap Big Tony in the back, and we can make you a 'Wheel-Standing-Raunchero". What do you think, man? :D

I'll be there and drag the Coollows along with me. I fixed me driveline vibration/noise, rebuilt the rear end and brakes and a fixed (most of) a random tranny leak, so it looks like I'll be in the Fairalne. The engine isn't fully broken in yet, so I doubt I'll be running down the track.

I think most of us well be headed to the swap meet early and then up to the Thaw. What a great weekend!

If I ride in the back of that Ranchero then i have to wear arm restraints...which will keep me from kissing my ass goodbye, but i guess for the sack of pleasing the crowd i will come with arm restraints, a helmet and a big ol' ASS-PAD:D

I am driving it like an old woman till the Thaw ,Ken .All i have left to do is put in the long wheel studs in the axles .I had to mess with it again after work today.I noticed that the clutch bell crank was cocked while checking the oil .After closer inspection the motor and trans had slid back an inch or so on the slotted mounts (yikes) .I couldnt imagine why ,as easy as i drive it ? It took me a while with a floor jack and a prybar to get it back where it belonged.I tightend the crap out of the bolts this time. With the slicks and a good 4500 rpm launch and the 4.11's its either gunna break or get day light under the front tires .As light as the front end is ,i dont think i will need Tony in the back.I am gunna get a few moderate runs in before i try it though ,just incase i break it while tring ...

You gotta break em in the way you want them to run. If you want it to be fast you gotta break em in fast!:D

Pay no attention to me, there are way too many court documents and medical professionals that say I am nuts!

I am mainly just talking sum shit here having fun with everybody, but i ran 8.6 in the 1/8 before with 3.55's ,a shitty torker intake and a slipping clutch (that would stink after every run) on street tires .I figure with the 4.11's ,new clutch, tunnel ram ,lotsa carb work and slicks ,that a real low 8 in the 1/8 should be doable.I wish i had not of said that cuz i proly jinxed myself .I wont know for sure what it runs for a another week in a half ,but i know its faster than it was before .This is my daily driver and i will be driving it there and hopefully back ,so its not that "Fast" i guess.I use this thing as a work truck hauling pallets and plywood to a drag car (occasionally) ,plus i drive it to work and back 6 days a week...

Would like to "look" at it before the race..........why don't you stop by our Ford friendly shop down here in Frisco/Little Elm before the "Thaw"....May have some "things" that you may be able to use.
