Th 350 Converter Stall on a Th 400

Any idea around what the stall would be of a stock th 350 converter on a th 400? I'm on a tight budget and can't swing a stall converter right now. I know there a lot of variables. The car is a 58 hillman ex-drag car, shouldn't weigh much, mild 427 big block with 350 gears. The main thing I'm after is the th 400 has a full manual valve body and I want to soften the shifts a little. The car will be mainly for the street. Thanks

 

not much more stall than the 400 converter, maybe a few hundred if you're lucky
