About 20 years ago I had my gauges rewired by a company called American Classic Restoration Inc. in Uxbridge MA. The device that bolts to the speedometer cable fitting on the tail shaft that converts it to an electronic signal to the new speedometer is leaking trans fluid and needs to be replaced. It has a tag on it with the numbers 59D-02392-1. The company is still listed, but never answers their phone. Anyone have any ideas where I can get one and what is it technically called?

  2. Pulse generator. Some of the O rings are probably same as regular speedo drive.

Wipe it off and post a picture of it.

There's also a seal internally on the "bullet" that goes into the tails haft housing. It seals to the driven gear. You may have to get one from trans shop since parts houses seem to have trouble locating it.

No, it's not the o-ring, it's internal, it's probably the seal that Hoywyr mentions.

Gimpy, similar to the top picture but plastic. I'll call Autometer tomorrow to see what they recommend. Thank you for your help!

Fix the leak first. The pulse generator doesn't have anything to do with the leak. The leak, however, will ruin the pulse generator.
