   *** Question ***
Do I still need to get it rebuilt/ anticipate it?
It seems ok, but I know it cant' be.
Can I still drive it safe/ not drive it too hard or is it a matter of a short time to be stranded again?

Not being a tranny guy I had to go on line to find what these "shiny on one side, parallell lined chunks of crap' were in my pan...
The trans had come from a junk yard (didnt know the condition other than "working'), I put a B&M Shift kit with the Street/ strip setup, and it shifted good/ hard/ fun....until it quit shifting and I had to rev it hard (slipping 90%) to get home.... Demoralizing.
I dropped the pan and saw what looked like a handful of shingles in my fluid.
I changed the filter (completely clogged with all the trash) and refilled to capacity.
....It runs and shifts fine now.

I wouldnt trust it for long, or for much more abuse..but than again stranger shit has happened.

I'd have it looked at before you end up stuck in shitsville with out your paddle

    Thanks Guys!

Ft Benning has an awesome facility with spray booth and all,well...while I was active duty it DID. I'de rather be able to drive it somewhere to get it fixed, but if its gonna be extra much I'de rather take it out myself. I was checkin out complete rebuild kits for 170ish B&M. ...AAA sent me somethin in the mail the other day....I ALMOST trashed it! Good lookin out Von Rigg Fink! I was wondering if it would be worth it. She's only been on the road maybe 10 hours...they were fun but....I need more than that (kinda like the hot girlfriend that you cant trust!) ha ha!

Hiram is a Fer' piece with this condition! (had to google) I wanted to be at Dixie Fried this year, but that AINT gonna happen! Maybe I'll be able to drive ...the honda :( "I'll be there next yar for sSURE!" (my own quote from th 09 Dixie Fried Show!) How much would a fair rebuild price be for a cool guy and how much should commercial prices run?

thanks again yall! ("It DOES matter to me to have someone on whom I can Thouroughly rely" - Sherlock holmes from the movie")
