i'm not confused. i know suspensions pretty well. i just don't think it's gonna move up and down (or in and out) any more than it would at stock height but i can see where it might move forward when lowered a significant amount.

  2. Thanks for the info guys. As far as the linkage goes, I'll check it out and post up what we come up with...starting with Hellfish's idea.

Kustombuilder, if you beat me to it, please post up what you end up doing.

mine is lowered 3" with springs. It's been like that for a year and maybe 3000 miles and I haven't had any problems. I got a new carrier when I shortened the shaft though, and I think the shaft was a wee bit shorter than it should've been giving me a little extra room when it got lowered

on the wifes car the bracket that bolts to the trans was gone so I used the one off the glide & put it to the side of the turbo. it didn't have the right notch to hold it but I just gave it a tight turn of the wrench and bottomed it out on the stud for the turbo 350 linkage.I never had any trouble out of it. as for the slip yoke deal its a good idea but my bell air is low and i mean slammed on the ground with cut coils and I don't use a slip yoke. drive the car every day for over a year now and no problems out of it.
