    Hello!
I messed around with my TH350s Governor and Vacuummodulator, where i made the Governor weights lighter and springs 3turns shorter.
On one test drive i forgot the vacuum line.
Suddenly there was no solid direct gear anymore(stupid me!:().
I kind goes into 3rd but the slightest throttle raises the rpm's two second gear level.Shifting manually to 2nd proofs that theres no 3rd.Theres the "freerun"(no enginebreak)in 3rd,but the rpm's of 2nd!
Fustrated,i welded two washers to the governor weight to make them
heavier again.Vac Modulator ist correctly plugged to constant vac.
    Same result!

Is the direct clutchpack fried now:confused:?Or have i just ruined the Governor and just need to buy a new one?

Damn,i feel like a 6 year old kid.
    Thanks for all help!!

  2. put a governor in it.

once you do that, you'll know if you fried 3rd.

why did you lighten the governor?

Well, via the vacuum modulator it was impossibe to raise the shift rpm to a good level. The car is 3000lbs and the engine has a ton of vacuum.
At full throttle it would shift at a lousy 3000rpm.
Cable is fully activated at WOT.
    Don't know whats wrong there?
    Thanks,
